Ultraviolet water purification is the most effective method for eliminating living bacteria from water. Ultraviolet (UV) rays penetrate harmful pathogens in your water and destroy illness-causing micro-organisms by attacking their genetic core (DNA). This is extremely  efficient in eliminating their ability to reproduce. UV systems destroy 99.99% of harmful micro-organisms.

Stages of filtration and disinfection include:

CTF-400

Stage 1: 5 micron sediment filter – for the removal of large particles such as sediment, sand, grains, silt and rust.

Stage 2: UV Sterilization for the removal of bacteria and viruses.

This system also comes complete with a 12Watt UV Sterilizer, which serves as the 2nd stage of water purification in the system.

Stage 3 : A Coconut shell Granular Activated Carbon Filter – for the removal of chemicals, like chlorine, and harmful organic and organochlorine substances, like endocrine disrupting hormones. Also removes metals, phenols and petroleum products.

Stage 4: A Coconut shell carbon block filter – For fine filtration and reinforcement of the above 3 stages.
